Policy Mission Statement

It is the company policy of GJS Landscaping Ltd to comply with the terms of the Health & Safety at work etc. Act 1974 and subsequent legislation, To provide and maintain a healthy and safe working environment. The objectives of GJS Landscaping ltd is to mitigate as best possible, the number of incidents and illnesses leading to a accident free workplace by implementing best practices. Employees of GJS Landscaping will be provided with appropriate equipment, training & supervision as is necessary in achieving the companies stated Objective.

GJS Landscaping recognise and accepts their duty to protect the Health & Safety of all company employees including and contractors or temporary workers, as well as the members of the public who might be effected by our operation. While the management of GJS Landscaping ltd will do all that is within its powers to ensure the Health & Safety of its employees, it is recognised that health & safety at work is the responsibility of each every individual associated to the company. It is the duty of each employee to take reasonable care of their own and other people's welfare and immediately report any situation that could pose a risk to the well being of any other person

The management of GJS Landscaping ltd will provide all company employees with training as necessary to carry out their task safely. If at any time an employee is unsure how to perform a certain task or feels it would be dangerous to perform a specific job then its the employees duty to report back to GJS Landscaping ltd management. Effective health and safety programs require continuous communication between employees at all levels. It is therefore every workers responsibility to report any situation which could jeopardize the well being of themselves or any other person. All injuries must be reported to a member of management, accident records are key, to the effective monitoring of incidents that will lead to the up issuing / amendment of both the companies Policy and potentially working practices therefore reports need to be accurate and comprehensive.

GJS Landscaping ltd health & safety policy will be continually monitored and updated, this will be in keeping with the scale and nature of work undertaken by the company. The policy will be updated annually as a minimum requirement. The policy will form part of the new employee induction program.
